Assignment 4 Process and Finished drawings

I focused these drawings on the idea of music. The first frottage I put the newsprint over the guitar and traced the outline of the guitar and filled it with multiple different textures. I used a rubrics cube, markers, a pack of skewers, texture from my heater, rings from a book, buttons from a calculator, texture from the bottom of a glue stick, poker chip, texture from a lampshade, textured pencil sharpener, tiled flooring, texture from guitar, hake brush, jewelled compact mirror. I used graphite pencil on newsprint paper.

For this frottage, I used different textures to create a drawing of a drum set. Before I use the textures, I created a sketch and experimented with textures on recycled sketchbook paper. Then I created my final drawing, however, the finished work got a hole in the paper and I was trying to fix the paper, though it did not work, so I then created a new drawing. I used pastel on recycled sketchbook paper for this frottage, which was challenging. The textures used for this frottage was tape, the container of markers, springs from a book, tiled tabletop, tiled flooring, bottom of glue stick, the texture of heater, rubrics cube, texture from a dumbbell, marker, pack of skewers.
